Become a registrar

Prospective registrants - Dutch phone number users - cannot register domains directly with ENUM NL. Names within the Dutch ENUM domain (.1.3.e.164.arpa) are registered through ENUM registrars. Registrations are managed via an EPP server, which provides access to the ENUM Registration System (ERS). A registrar can also act as a validation agent.

To become a registrar, your organisation needs to meet a number of conditions:

  • Your organisation must be based within the territory of the European Union.
  • Your organisation must be registered with the Chamber of Commerce or, if you are not based in the Netherlands, with an equivalent body.

You will also need to agree to the General Terms and Conditions for ENUM NL Registrars. As a registrar, you are required to pay ENUM NL an annual registrarship fee. The current fee is nominally € 620, but during the start-up phase ENUM NL is offering a 50 per cent discount.

How to become an ENUM registrar?

  • Complete the application form; on this form, you can indicate whether you wish to become a registrar, a validation agent or both. You will find instructions on the form, telling you what information you need to provide. By signing the application form, you agree to the General Terms and Conditions for Registrars. If you wish to become a registrar and a validation agent, you need to make this clear by ticking both the relevant boxes on the application form.
  • Post the completed application form to:
    ENUM NL
    Registration & Services Department
    Postbus 5022
    6802 EA ARNHEM
    The Netherlands
  • Or fax it to (+31) (0)26 352 55 75

Once your application has been approved, you will receive written confirmation from ENUM NL.
If you have any questions about the registration process or fees, or if you would like further information before committing yourself, please contact our Registration & Services Department by e-mailing support@enum.nl or by phoning (+31) (0)26 352 55 55 (option 3).
