How do I register for ENUM?
To register your phone number or number block for ENUM, you have to go through an intermediary, known as a registrar. OpenFortress has been contracted by ENUM NL to submit registrations. .
The registration process is as follows:
As a Dutch phone number user, you decide to register the corresponding ENUM domain and approach OpenFortress to make the registration for you.
You apply to register your number through OpenFortress. The application procedure involves agreeing to the General Terms and Conditions for ENUM NL Registrations and the associated technical requirements.
Next, your application goes through a validation process. Validation means checking to verify that you (the prospective registrant of the ENUM domain) are also the user of the corresponding e.164 phone number. The checks have to be made by a validation agent. OpenFortress acts as both your registrar and your validation agent.
Following successful validation, OpenFortress submits your application to ENUM NL.
Once the application has been checked and approved, the domain corresponding to your number is registered by ENUM NL. You can then start using ENUM.
